SUPERVISORY AIRPLANE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR

1. Administers refresher and advanced combat flight training to ANG military aircrews. Instructs and evaluates rated pilots in advanced precision instrument flight techniques in conjunction with air navigational aid. Instructs and evaluates rated pilots to become instructors. Instructs in advanced, heavy, multi-engine military airplane on extended flights to domestic/foreign points. Instructs aircrew to fiy the full range of airplane flight maneuvers in all weather conditions to include:
evasive maneuvers, close formation flying, low altitude flight at in very low speeds, overseas flights and escorting and refueling formations in long distance aircraft deployment operations worldwide. Monitors aircrew progress during training and advises when the rated pilot is considered ready for the forma1 flight evaluation. 2. Interviews flight instructors, pilots, and other crew members assigned or attached to the unit to determine flying background and proficiency in the UE airplane. Prescribes type, sequence, and extent of required ground and flight training. Performs as instructor and/or flight examiner, evaluating and examining rated aircrew to determine preparation for flight proficiency during actual flight, instructional ability, technical competence, and postflght critique; determines progress andproficiency levels, provides requalification evaluations, and directs/provides specialized remedial or additional training as necessary. 3. Plans, develops and presents comprehensive courses of instruction on flight and aerial combat skills. Develops and instructs specific courses in all bases of weapons system employment. Evaluations formal training directives and develops course changes, new material, new training systems and methods. 4. Projects unit training requirements. Prepares required training records. Conducts flying and ground training including flight simulator (when available). Utilizes available training aids to instruct airplane aerodynamics, systems, emergency procedures and specific crew duties. Reviews and analyzes directives, regulations, accident reports, flying safety publications, and airfield conditions. Determines additional aircrew training requirements to advance aircrew proficiency while maintaining the lowest possible accident rate. May be responsible for the coordination, control, and utilization of FAA assigned airspace. 5. Maintains a thorough knowledge of airplane systems and procedures under normal, instrument, and emergency conditions, to give timely and accurate instruction to aircrews in the air or on the ground. Maintains unit mission qualifications in the UE airplane. 6. Briefs and instructs preflight preparations including:
intelligence briefings, mission planning, weather factors, mission objectives, and other agency coordination to ensure safe flight procedures and effective mission accomplishment. Monitors mental attitudes and individual problems of aircrew that can adversely affect flying performance. 7. Serves as the Air Commander's representative when performing duties as Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and is responsible for the safe and efficient mission accomplishment of the unit. The SOF has the authority to cancel flying activities. divert aircraft, dictate mission requirements, approve specific activities, coordinate for airport or airspace utilization with FAA, and direct emergency actions involving UE airplanes. Experience:
Must have at least two years working experiences in civilian aviation programs; or, military service aviation programs (active duty or reserve components); or, in the Army National Guard Aviation Support facility; or, Air National Guard Wing/ Operations Group. Qualification competencies are determined by three factors:
The aircraft operated; the nature and purpose of assignments; and, the degree of hazard. Experienced in piloting and instructing pilot skills in one or more of the following mainframe/military aircraft:
Fixed-wing, rotary, or remotely piloted aircraft (RPA). Although a variety of piloting administrative tasks are performed in support of an Air National Guard aviation program, the required competence for this grade includes the ability to train and instruct others in the piloting of a specified main-frame military aircraft. Experienced in reading and applying mission tasks, intelligence reports, and weather information. Experienced in supervising and/or conducting mission planning, mission preparations, filing of flight plans, and conducting crew briefings. Experienced in aircraft preflight inspections, aircraft loading, equipment assessments, and mission manning. Experienced in operating aircraft controls and equipment. Experienced in performing or supervising the work procedures involved in navigation, in-flight refueling, search and rescue operations, surveillance, or reconnaissance. Experienced in conducting or supervising crew member training on simple to complex mission specific tasks. Experienced in developing plans and policies, monitoring operations, and advising commanders. Experienced in flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures, and mission tactics. Experienced in planning and preparing for missions; and, must have at least two years experiences in piloting or instructing others in piloting specific air-frame/military aircraft. Experienced in various piloting administrative tasks performed in support of Air National Guard aviation programs. Experienced in aviation unit quality control management programs, Experienced in the unit flying, explosive, and ground safety programs in accordance with Department of the Air Force, National Guard Bureau, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration directives. Experienced in applying directives, regulations, accident reports, safety data, and local operating conditions to determine unit safety program requirements. Experienced in flying operations and coordinating with appropriate agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and programs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
