INSPECTOR GENERAL SPECIALIST

Will be required to travel by military or commercial air to inspections, exercises, conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the normal duty station. Work will require travel oversees to foreign countries and involves direct interaction with host nation personnel. Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes mastery of a wide range of complex inspection principles, concepts, and practices in order to recognize and resolve discrepancies; and modify established approaches, methods, or procedures to improve oversight inspection techniques. Expert knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources for the installation; and of the mission, capabilities, organizations and operations of the Inspector General. Mastery of a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of MAJCOM IG operations and the improvement of critical nuclear enterprise programs. Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to nuclear maintenance operation FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to nuclear surety and inspection policy. Ability to evaluate MAJCOM Inspector General inspection programs and provide advice to standardize Air Force inspection program. 2. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DoD, Air Force, and NATO organizations to provide service-level staff guidance and/or subject matter expertise on nuclear programs, issues, and/or policy. 3. Extensive knowledge of Air Force, MAJCOM, and Wing organizational structure, operations, and policies, and nuclear enterprise mission responsibilities. 4. Ability to plan and organize the oversight functions and mentor, motivate, and advise the organization's staff. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of oversight team members to meet organizational program requirements and objectives within available resources. 5. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. 6. Skill in analyzing, planning, and adjusting oversight inspection operations to meet Oversight program requirements and objectives within available resources; and in analyzing reports to identify relevant issues, identify potential trends, and draw sound conclusions in order to make appropriate recommendations. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
