Motor Vehicle Division (MVD Clerk)

The purpose of this position is to assist in program operation and maintenance of the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) Field Office. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide the necessary services to KAFB personnel acting as agent of the State of New Mexico to perform those functions assigned to the Motor Vehicle Division. Completely review all documents presented by the customer for compliance with MVD regulations. Register and title vehicles, administer required written tests. Issue driver's license and permits. Accept applications and issues identification cards. Provide physical security of all MVD documents, forms, and equipment. Greet customers and gives information. Experience:
Experience which requires handling, balancing and safeguarding cash/sales. Computer experience processing electronic forms or varied computer experience. Working familiarity with the type of duties performed at the Motor Vehicle Division or experience working and processing vehicle transitions in a title company, auto dealership, auto insurance company or auto auction is desirable. Ability to deal with a variety of customers. Experience which requires interpreting following and applying a variety of rules, regulations and policies.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
