Engineer Technician

Engineer Technician
PAE is currently seeking an Operations Engineering Technician for a new program at Kirtland AFB near Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Operation Engineering Technician will be responsible for:
+ Identifying in the field common site civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire system components, understanding how they function and operate, and having experience planning or performing maintenance, improvements, or repair.
+ Possessing applicable building code and life safety knowledge to provide assessment services.
+ Having the knowledge of construction management software, project closeout procedures, preventive maintenance, construction and repair terminology and processes.
+ Preparing drawings plans, sketches, schematics to prepare bid/construction drawings for engineering projects using AutoCAD software.
+ Having basic familiarity with current Air Force Property and linear segmentation guidance.
+ Being the liaison with engineers on technical aspects of project development.
+ Evaluating filed conditions to ascertain impact on project scope.
+ Assisting engineering staff in preparing design layouts for projects as related to infrastructure/facilities issues.
+ Preparing reports, briefings, brochures, storyboards, and similar documents to explain and present project information and data.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION/LICENSING
+ Preferred bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or from a program certified by the National Architecture Accrediting Board.
EXPERIENCE
+ Must have a minimum of 5 years of maintenance, repair, and engineering facility experience related to the Activity Management Plan (AMP).
+ Shall have at least 3 years of experience working in a military environment and familiarity with Air Force Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations.
+ Shall have a minimum of 1 year of experience performing facility assessments and Real Property Inventory Equipment (RPIE) condition assessments using Sustainment Management System (SMS) BUILDER.
+ Least 1 year of experience working with data from geospatial.
+ Must have experience using Microsoft Office application.
+ Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.
+ Must have and maintain a valid US driver?s license.
+ Must be capable of working with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
The classification of activities range from an office environment with extended sitting demands to a field environment with occasional climbing, standing, stopping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching and walking demands. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are predominantly in an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort. The Operation Engineering technician responsibilities may involve field conditions where inclement weather may subject the individual to change in temperature, wind, rain, etc. Occasionally, the tech may be required to work a flexible work schedule and alternate workdays to meet mission and customer requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
