This is an Air Force Pathways Internship position located at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The Pathways Intern Program is a planned, progressive education program that provides for the integration of a student's academic studies with target positions in the Federal Workforce. The Pathways Intern Program allows students to gain real, paid work experience while pursuing a diploma, degree or certificate in a particular career field. Work locations vary throughout Kirtland AFB, and the duties performed are designed to provide hands-on experience in the specific discipline for which hired.

This internship position is located in the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

This internship is to provide a learning opportunity for a student enrolled in a field of study relating to their career path, to enhance their future goals and improve their knowledge with work experience in a working environment.
Major Duties:
As a Student Trainee (Program Analyst), GS-0399-07POT09, you will perform developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established and a number of specific guidelines exist. You will also:
Independently perform recurring assignments of limited, but gradually increasing, difficulty and complexity.
Provides specialist analysis for management, budgeting, planning, and programming at the program/project level for the division.
Prepares and coordinates major procurement packages.
Draft or prepare a variety of document to include newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and practices of program analysis.
2. Skill in applying basic principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform entry-level assignments in program analysis.
3. Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing.
4. Knowledge to accomplish administrative aspects of program requirements, analyze information provided by project officers, identify basic administrative issues, and provide effective coordination between contractor and government administrative requirements.
5. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
REQUIREMENTS FOR INITIAL APPOINTMENT
To qualify for a GS-07: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education.
To qualify for a GS-09: Completion of 2 academic years of graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.

Your must be a student currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited college or university Master's Degree Program. Your major field of study must be either directly or closely related to the work of the Student Trainee (Program Analyst), GS-099-07POT09 position.
Pursuing a Master's Degree, in any field of study related to the position.
Enrollment must be at least half-time course load as defined by the educational institution (typically three hours or equivalent)
Maintain good academic standing (typically no less than 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 grading scale, or school's equivalent grading scale).

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: The VOW Act Chapter 21 of Title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 2108a, requires the active duty service member to furnish a "certification" of active service. 3. Completion of a minimum of 640 hours of work experience under the Internship Program
4. Meet the OPM Qualification requirements for the position the intern may be converted to

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
